(Thwarted) Child Abduction Alert in North Edgebrook!!
This is a note our daughter brought home today from Wildwood School:

Evidently, the SMOW students in question ran away, and were lucky to escape. There is no sketch of the perpetrator’s face published yet. This much luck is not always in the cards. The summer before last, another young boy was almost abducted by a man in a car, while he was playing at Wildwood Park, one afternoon. I do realize, as parents, we all lead very busy lives. But folks, these are our kids we’re talking about. The idea of “stranger-danger” cannot be impressed strongly enough on our children. Make an extra effort to really know where your kids are, and whom they hang out with, at all times. In the morning, when you drop off your kids at school, keep an eye on them, until the doors open and your children are safely inside the building. It only takes two minutes of your time. If I can take that time, so can you. No one is interested in another Amber Alert.
